Hey Barbie Girl! Wanna come and dance the day away with us? This summer at our Barbie camp you can do exactly that and be whatever kind of Barbie you wanna be! Not only will we will be dancing our hearts out on the dance floor and learning a few steps along the way, we will also make crafts to help us on show day! At the end of the week we will put on a performance that every Barbie and Ken would be proud of and who knows maybe we’ll even make our very own dream house! Whether you are sporty Barbie, artsy Barbie, or anything in between…come dressed in your best barbie style and get ready for lots of FUN and lots of PINK!!!

Please let us know if we should save a spot for your Barbie or Ken! We only have so many spots, so right now we are offering a $25 down payment to reserve your spot and $5 off, with the balance due before the beginning of class.

Our company dancers have their first competition March 8-10!

You may have heard the phrase 'Break a Leg' to be wish a theatre performer well, but probably recognize that that would not be appropriate to say to a dancer! Dancers say, "Merde!" to one another instead... which is a way to wish each other a full and approving audience. If you know anything of the French language, you know that merde unfortunately means, for lack of a better word, crap. Why would dancers wish each other luck with this phrase? The reason why gives a colorful picture of the past... Back before cars, people would take a carriage to the theater. If so many people were showing up for a performance that there was stand-still traffic, the horses would inevitably have to relieve themselves in front of the theatre. And so, merde being tracked into the theater was a (stinky) sign that the show was a success!

Please join us in a loud 'Merde' to all our company dancers, and watch for livestream information and results if you want to tune in to see your friends take the stage!

Hip Hop Shoes: We will be ordering hip hop shoes at the end of this month! These shoes are including in your recital costs. If you have a hip hop dancer in level 1, 2, 3 or 4, please take a moment to fill out this quick questionnaire so we can ensure we will order the right size!

Ad Sales: We are beginning sales for our recital ads! This is a great advertising opportunity for business or a chance to share how proud you are of your performer!

If you signed up to participate in the chocolate fundraiser, your boxes should be arriving soon! Remember to let us know if you need more, and that all funds will be due April 8th.

If you don't have a printer, we do have printed copies of the registration form at the studio for you to fill out the first week. We highly recommend using the parent portal. All emails that we send to you through DanceStudio-Pro are kept there for easy reference, as well as newsletters, policy information, our welcome letter and calendar. We post recital music and costume information in the portal, including pictures! You can also note upcoming absences! (Music students - please follow the attendance policy to ensure availability of a make-up lesson.) You can see the status of your account and any balance due, any charges posted, even make online payments! You can access the parent portal through any browser or download the app from the App Store or Google Play Here's a video about the parent portal!
