All Saints Academy Weekly Update
March 24, 2025 - March 28, 2025
Our Lenten Project
On March 19th, students from grades K-8 completed our school-wide Lenten project. In partnership with Love Letters for Literacy, they worked together to create literacy packets. Love Letters for Literacy is dedicated to promoting early childhood literacy across all fifty states and in forty-three countries on six continents.
Our youngest learners teamed up with older students to create twenty-six alphabet cards, which were included in each packet along with a list of educational games and a personal note from the student who made it. In total, we completed 112 packets, which will be delivered to a local Head Start program. It was truly heartwarming to see our ASA students collaborating to make a difference in the lives of others! Our NJHS Chapter thanks YOU!
The NJHS service project for Jersey Cares was a huge success! Thanks to the generous contributions from our families and faculty, we were able to collect a wide variety of essential items: 67 tissue packs, 42 chapsticks, 129 shampoos, 136 conditioners, 181 toothbrushes and toothpastes, 109 soaps and body washes, 67 combs and brushes, 56 pairs of socks, 169 deodorants, and 222 gallon-size Ziploc bags.
In total, NJHS members assembled 109 First Night Kits, which will be delivered to Jersey Cares for distribution to domestic violence shelters, transitional housing facilities, runaway safe havens, foster homes, and other agencies.
