North students and families,

It is hard to believe that the end of the school year has arrived! 10 months have passed very quickly!

The year’s end always brings with it a tremendous sense of accomplishment. So many things have been accomplished this year! From the Fun Run near the beginning of the year to the 5th grade celebration – our students have been involved in an extraordinary number of activities. Of course, we should not forget the tremendous amount of learning which has taken place during the year. Throughout all of these activities, our students have demonstrated SHINE across the board!

To our fifth graders who will be transitioning to middle school – know that you will be missed. The North staff wishes you all the best as you move to either East or West. If this is your last child to leave North, the staff would like to thank you for your support and for the guidance that you have provided for your child(ren). We look forward to hearing from these 5th graders in the future and we hope that each of them will have gained a firm foundation for their education while at North. We hope when you finish your senior year you will return for our Senior walk.

For those families who will be returning in August, school will begin on Monday, August 1st. Due to the number of families moving in and out of North over the summer, class lists are revised up until the beginning of school. You will be able to find out your child's new teacher at our Meet the Teacher night.

We have several summer events and will communicate them to you as the summer progresses. But two you will want to put on your calendar now are the Meet the Teacher night on July 28th and the Back to School Blast on July 29th.

As visitors are welcomed back into the building, the PTO is looking for volunteers. If you are interested in learning more about what opportunities are available, please contact the PTO at northelementarypto@gmail.com.

All volunteers must have a level 3 background check on file. The background checks cost $18.95 and are good for 6 years. Click on the link below if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.

MEDICATION PICK-UP: If you have medication on file in the clinic for your student, please pick it up between no later than Thursday, June 2nd by 3:00pm. Any medication left in the clinic after this date will be destroyed. Medications cannot be sent home with students.

2022/2023 HEALTH PLANS AND DOCTOR’S ORDERS: If your student needs to take medication or keep inhalers, EpiPens, etc. on file for the 22/23 school year, please note a new doctor’s order/action plan is required for each school year. Go to the Noblesville Schools website, Noblesvilleschools.org, at the top under Departments and then the Health Services tab, you will find all the required forms and information. Print off the required paperwork, take to your doctor over the summer so it’s ready when school starts.

PARENTS OF 5th GRADERS: Immunization requirements for 2022-2023:

ALL 5th graders going to 6th grade will need: 1 MCV4 (Meningococcal) and 1 Tdap (Tetanus and Pertussis). These are shots only given to this age group and/or when entering middle school. Noblesville Schools require a complete record by the first day of school. Once your student receives their immunizations, return an updated copy of your student’s shot records to the school nurse.
