We have had a brilliant start to our fundraising this term, with our usual School Disco mixed up with the new Keston's Got Talent, lovely self-portrait tea towels, and finishing this term on a festive high with our traditional Christmas Fair.

We hope those who came to the Christmas Fair really enjoyed it. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped us raise just under £1,700 on the day. So many of you worked so hard and donated items to make it a success so thank you.

In total, it means the PTA has raised almost £3,000 since September (and we're still totalling the money raised from the tea towels)!

We put on the huge and spectacular inaugural Keston's Got Talent in November. We were delighted to announce the winners at the KGT Final - Louis, Raphael, Shivai and Miles! Well done to the boys and to all the acts, they did so well and should all be very proud of themselves.

And well done to the behind-the-scenes heroes like Poppy P and Josh on sound, Daisy U who led the Prop Team and to all the children who ushered, made the posters, helped with props and lighting - we absolutely couldn’t have done it without you!

All the hard work is made worth it by being able to provide the children and teaching staff with the funds to purchase equipment and training that wouldn't otherwise be possible. This year we're aiming to raise enough to fulfil a wish list which includes:

• A shelter in the KS2 playing field
• "Working Walls" in classrooms
• Read Write Inc resources
• New trim trail play equipment

The Parent Teacher Association are behind many of the events you see happen at the school. Not only are the events created to ensure the children have fun and help to raise much-needed extra funds for the school. But they also bring the school, everyone in the school community, and the wider Keston community, closer together.

Everything from the school uniform shop; Discos and Film Nights; Keston's Got Talent and the Christmas and Summer Fairs; not to mention the teas and coffees at Parents' evenings, representing the school at local events and organising the Welcome Packs for new families. Plus updating Facebook & Instagram pages! It all takes planning, dedication and time - and we're hugely appreciative to everyone who makes these all happen

The Class Reps do a brilliant job of communicating the latest news and updates from the PTA to the rest of the school. They are also in charge of getting every class involved in the events, so if you can help in any way, then they will love to hear from you!
