Good Afternoon, Maple Place,

It's been a busy week in OP this week. It was wonderful to see many of you in the school hallways for parent teacher conferences. Thank you for your continued partnership with all of us here at Maple Place.

Can you believe that today is the first day of December? There are lots of fun things coming up this month as we head into the holiday season. Festive Fridays are back for the month of December. Please see the flyer below for our festivities. Today we celebrated National Grinch Day by wearing our favorite green apparel or Grinch gear. Next week is Holiday Wear - wear your favorite holiday socks, shirts, and/or hat.

The 8th Grade Class of 2024 is sponsoring the Oceanport's Got Talent Variety Show! Coming to Maple Place on Thursday & Friday, January 25th-26th, 2024! The Oceanport School District definitely has a LOT of talent, and it's time to put it on display. Get your acts together and create a flip grid to be selected for this year's show.

The Oceanport School District Advocates for Diverse Learners will be holding a special meeting with the regional special education advisory committees from Monmouth Beach, West Long Branch, and Shore Regional. For this meeting, guest speaker, Dr. Strobel, will discuss the importance of mental health in our children. All are welcome on December 4, 2023 at 7pm at Maple Place School (cafeteria). Thank you to our dedicated parent volunteers that lead the ADL for putting together this amazing event! See flyer below for more information:

Kids Give will be hosting their annual Operation Sleighbells event on Sunday 12/3 at the Port Au Peck firehouse. The goal is to help 200 underprivileged children, as well as to bring holiday cheer to elderly people in our community. Community service hours are available.
