Week 10!
Club Showcase: Choir
Thank you to Mrs. Rohrbach for sharing her talents with our Sunny Hill students. Listen to Tyra share why she enjoys Choir and what it means to her.
Reading Interventionist Denise Scafidi is a “secret sauce” that makes Sunny Hill such a special place! Denise has worked at Sunny Hill as a teacher and reading interventionist for many years. In addition, her own children attend Barrington High School, and she is President of the Broncos Soccer Booster Club.

Healthy Living: School Exclusion Awareness
To help prevent the spread of illness within our school community, it is important that we all work together to follow proper exclusion guidelines. If your child is experiencing any of the following symptoms, please keep them home from school:
- Fever: A temperature of 100.4°F or higher.
- Vomiting: More than one episode in a 24-hour period.
- Diarrhea: More than three loose stools in a 24-hour period.
It is also important to note that children who have been diagnosed with a contagious illness, such as influenza or strep throat should be excluded from school until they meet the criteria for return to school as outlined by your child's healthcare provider. Please consult your child's pediatrician for specific guidelines regarding when your child can safely return to school.
Students may return to school if they have been without the following symptoms for least 24 hours:
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Fever-without taking fever reducing medication like Tylenol or Ibuprofen
Your cooperation in following these exclusion guidelines is essential for maintaining a healthy learning environment for all students. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
