Meet SFIAM's College and Career Coach
Hello SFiAM community!
This is my 13th year teaching, and I’m proud to say that I’ve spent every year right here at SFiAM. I started as a Special Day Classroom teacher, where I worked for 11 years, then transitioned into the role of Resource Specialist (RSP) for one year. Now, I’m excited to begin my journey as the College and Career Coach, where I have the opportunity to support teachers with intervention strategies and research-based instructional practices.
In addition to my coaching role, I’m teaching three elective classes: two art classes and one broadcasting class. I’m passionate about using technology to enhance learning, and I love being part of this amazing community. On a personal note, I’m also a busy mom to two toddlers—a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old—who keep me on my toes!
Thank You Parents!
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our SFIAM families for choosing our school to support your child during these important developmental years. We are committed to working in partnership with you and always value your input. If you have any ideas for programs you'd like us to offer, or suggestions on how we can improve, we would love to hear from you.

Where to Turn for Help
Middle school can be a challenging time for students as they navigate the ups and downs of friendships and social situations. If your child comes home and shares a concern about something happening at school, here’s how you can support them.
We have many dedicated staff members ready to help your child. If it’s not an urgent issue, encourage your child to talk to a teacher, staff member, counselor, or administrator. This helps them develop self-advocacy skills, which are an important part of their growth.
If the situation needs immediate attention or if your child isn’t comfortable seeking help on their own, please don’t hesitate to step in. You can come to the school, call us at (818) 837-5455, and ask to speak with a teacher, counselor, or administrator.
Above all, don’t wait! We’re here to make sure your child feels safe, supported, and heard.
Call (818) 837-5455 and ask for Erick for more information on tutoring.
