• Books

• The last book checkout day will be Friday, May 17th.

• All LRC books are due Tuesday, May 21st.

• Students are encouraged to use our online books in Axis 360, Tumblebooks, Capstone Interactive, or Ferson Destiny. All are accessed through Class Link.

• Devices

• Students returning to any D303 school in August should keep their school devices and chargers.

• Students leaving the district should return their device to the LRC on/by the last day of school with the charger. Please remove all personal or decorative stickers.

The purpose of the Ferson Creek Elementary Parent Teacher Organization is to enhance the curricular and extracurricular educational experience of all children and to support programs which would otherwise not be offered by providing necessary funding, volunteers and materials to teachers, students and the school.

The PTO is comprised of 3-8 elected Board Officer positions in addition to Ex Officio Board Members, dozens of non-elected committee chairs, and numerous volunteers. For the 2024-2025 school year, we are electing the Board Officers.

This year's Board Officers are working together as a team to help the PTO run efficiently and smoothly. To fulfill the IRS requirements for a 501(c)3, these officers will include position titles, such as President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer; however, this year's nominated officers have chosen to work collaboratively, regardless of titled positions.

Please cast your vote below for the PTO Board Officers for the 2024-2025 school year. Voting is open to any Ferson Creek parent, guardian, or staff member. Anyone that does not vote will be considered to have an abstained ballot.

Ballots must be submitted before May 19, 2024 at midnight. Ballots received after this time will not be counted.

Students started taking their Spring iReady assessments this week. Please see the attachment below regarding the assessment, including how to access your child's results online.

Dear Ferson Fox Families,

We’re excited to announce that the next staff identified project we plan to fund is a Gaga ball pit!! Ask your student if they love Gaga ball and you’re sure to get a resounding “yes!” All the details how you can support this initiative are in the attached flyer. Our goal is to achieve 50% participation from Ferson families. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to PTO and we thank you for considering supporting this project.

Illinois State law requires all Kindergarten and 2nd Grade students to have an oral health examination. If you have not completed this requirement, a licensed dentist must perform the dental exam and sign and date the exam form. This exam is due by May 15 of the school year.

The Illinois Department of Public Health has established a waiver for children who show undue burden or lack of access to a dentist. Parents or legal guardians who object to the dental examination on religious grounds shall present to the school a signed, detailed statement of objection.

The dental exam and waiver form can be found on our District 303 website under “Departments” , “Health Services” , “Health Documents and Forms” Most dental offices also have the dental exam form.

The Chess Club tournament begins on May 6th. If students win on Monday, they will play on Tuesday and then again on Thursday.

We are so excited for this year's Ferson Creek Talent Show on Wednesday, May 22nd! Please see this form for details regarding the event and to register to participate. The registration form only needs to be completed once per group/act. Each parent doesn't need to complete the form. The Talent Show includes auditions, a dress rehearsal and the final performance. Looking forward to an amazing show!

We are in the home stretch--summer is right around the corner! As you begin to fill up your summer with activities and vacations, you should consider our very own D303 Summer Strings Camp!

This camp will be for orchestra students who are currently in grades 3 - 8. Camp will be June 17,18, 20 and June 24, 25, 26 and 27 in the evenings at Thompson Middle School.

The Spirit Morning schedule has been updated with dates for second semester. Please come and join us for a morning of welcoming our Ferson students to school. Each month we have a theme to welcome students into their school day. If you are interested in helping bring some excitement to school drop off from 7:40 - 8:00 am, sign up here.
