Omaha North
November 2022
From the Principal
Greetings Viking Family,
We are well into the 2nd Quarter of a busy school year. Students are engaged in athletics, after school clubs and various activities. Congratulations to all our fall sports teams and to our marching band for a wonderful season. We look forward to the start of Winter Sports and Activities. Remember that we have free tutoring available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 3:15-5:00 pm in the library.
We continue with Operation Get to Class encouraging students to arrive to class on-time. We appreciate your support in helping students understand the importance of attending classes, engaging in learning activities and completing their work. This is an important life skill our students need as they prepare for college and/or the world of work!
On November 3rd we are hosting an Academy Exploration Night for 8th and 9th Graders. All North High families are welcomed. See the details below.
We are also looking forward to the fall Musical Production of “Once on This Island”. Shows are Nov. 11th and 12th at 7:00pm and Nov. 13th at 2pm. Tickets available for purchase online and at the door. See the flyer below.
Students are faced with multiple stressors as they navigate high school. If you feel your student needs additional academic or emotional assistance please do not hesitate to contact their School Counselor, our School Social Worker, or their Administrator. We are all here to aid in each student’s success on this high school journey!
As always, we appreciate your continued support and involvement. If you have any questions, please call us at 531-299-2700.
