Thank you to each of you who took the time to come meet with us to discuss your student's progress this year. Our partnership is vital in order for your child to reach their academic goals. Our older students worked hard to show what they know on the NC Check Ins this week. Some students learned fruit and color vocabulary in Spanish, while others worked on building fluency with their multiplication and division math facts. Ms. Sneed has kicked off our Book It Program, and students can earn pizza simply by tracking their reading!
We have lots of field trips coming up this week and the next! Please make sure you have all the relevant details from your child's teacher.

- Red Ribbon Week is next week! Please note a small adjustment to the schedule, as several classes have field trips on Friday.
- Awards Day is October 29th. Your child's teacher will let you know if they will be receiving an award. Please remember to leave your bags in the car.
- Our PTO meets October 29th at 6:00 in the media center. Please join us.
- There is no school on Election Day, November 5th.
- Fall Festival is November 8th from 5:00-7:00. Tickets are on sale this week! They are $10 in advance and $15 the night of the event. Each ticket includes hot dog dinner and 20 punches. We are looking for volunteers and individuals who can donate cakes and prizes. Please reach out to westoxfordelempto@gmail.com if you can help.
- November 11th is Veteran's Day. There is no school.
- Bingo Night is November 15th from 6:00-8:00. Kona Ice and Bigfoot Barbecue will be on site!
We are excited to recognize students with attendance rates at 98% or above. These families will be entered into a drawing for a Food Lion gift card! In order to qualify, students may have at most one absence, one tardy, and one early check out. If your student didn't qualify this quarter, we hope they will next quarter!
