The Compass Notes for Families

Dear Families,

As the school year draws to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and partnership throughout this journey. Together, we have navigated challenges, celebrated achievements, and witnessed incredible growth in our students.

This year has been a testament to the resilience, creativity, and dedication of our entire school community. Our students have not only excelled academically but have also shown tremendous kindness, curiosity, and a spirit of cooperation. We are so proud of each and every one of them.

To our wonderful parents and guardians, thank you for your continued encouragement and involvement. Your support at home and participation in school activities have been invaluable. It truly takes a village, and we are grateful to have you as an essential part of ours.

As we look forward to a well-deserved summer break, we encourage our students to stay curious, keep reading, and enjoy the time with family and friends. Rest, recharge, and relish in the joy of discovery that summer brings.

We eagerly anticipate the new school year ahead, filled with fresh opportunities for learning and growth. Until then, have a safe, happy, and restful summer.

Compass is piloting a new initiative called Kindergarten Academy for the 2024-2025 school year.

Below is a button, linked to a newsletter, providing specific details on what Kindergarten Academy is and how it will benefit our Kindergarten students at Compass Elementary.

There is also a document entitled "Frequently Asked Questions" where parents/guardians can ask administration questions as it pertains to Kindergarten Academy.

The parent summer school newsletters will be sent from summer school admin on Fridays moving forward.

We wanted to link the previous ones and today's current summer school newsletter(s) for you, just in case you have missed them previously.

Third graders worked with Missouri Department of Conservation to learn about native and invasive plants in Missouri and practice their opinion writing and research skills. As you work in your garden, they hope you choose to grow native plants that will help our natural ecosystems.
