*CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY MONTH AT SGE!*
2020 Theme for African American History Month: “African Americans and the Vote”
With these momentous anniversaries in mind, that is why the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) created the 2020 Theme for African American History Month as “African Americans and the Vote."
Stonegate Spotlight: 4th Grade
Life in fourth grade is fun and busy as we begin preparing for middle school!
In science, we have been studying energy. We have learned about electrical circuits, energy conversion, kinetic and potential energy, and how energy transfers from one object to another.
Fourth grade students have begun their research and writing for our new project, Hoosier Expedition! Students are learning about key places in Indiana and writing persuasive essays inviting you to explore these state treasures! They are excited to showcase their learning on April 17th!
We have had some great opportunities within our Houses, too! On Valentine’s Day, we participated in ‘Minute to Win It’ House competitions! We had so much fun!! We are looking forward to our upcoming fieldtrip to Z’West, where we will get a sneak peak of middle school, our fine arts field trip to the high school, our Indy 500 Mobile fieldtrip on March 17th, and our field trip to the Indiana Statehouse in April.
Exciting times to be in fourth grade!!
