Titans' Times

Yesterday, with Father Ambrose, we gathered for our opening liturgy. The readings and homily reminded us to show mercy and forgiveness. As we begin our faith theme, Growing in Mercy with the Son, we seek to live the words of Matthew 5:7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy,”

Our school theme song for the year: "Less like me" by Zach Williams, teaching us to have more mercy and kindness and be more like Jesus. (Search it up on you tube, it is a catchy song).

This faith theme will help us delve deeper on how we can be kind to others and show forgiveness to others like Christ forgives us.

Volleyball season began with our volleyball teams playing at Four Winds for their first game of the season. Next Thursday they will play at home versus Gibbons.

received your first communion and are

interested in altar serving, we need you!

The more people we get the lower the

commitment, once or twice a month is all

that is needed. Serving is a special way to contribute to Mass by

helping Father with our most sacred Sacrament. Please contact

Bad days happen, and when your child has a hard day, you might see their unhappiness as a problem and believe it is your responsibility to fix it. The truth is, all feelings are healthy for children to experience - even the unpleasant or the tough-to-have ones. Our role is to help them feel supported through that emotion and remind them that they are not alone.

These reminders can sound like:

Today is not forever.

I’m here.

It’s okay to not feel okay.

Here are some “Things to tell your child when they are having a bad day.” from Big Life Journal to help when those bad days happen.

Thank you to our amazing parents who support our school community. The School Council had their annual organizational meeting last night. We welcomed many new faces to the School Council meeting last night thank you for coming out!

Welcome to 2023-24. The School Council Chair is Christie Remillard, and the Vice Chair Yvette Iroume. Thank you to Lisa Mudryk for stepping in as Secretary.

Friends of Legal School Society (FOLSS) also held their AGM, however the Chair position is currently vacant. If this is something you would like to help with please come to the next meeting.
