As we reach the end of the first quarter of the school year, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your ongoing support and engagement. Our student attendance rates are up which means students are in school engaged in learning. Regular school attendance helps students get the most out of their school day. When students come to school consistently, they can take part in all classroom activities, connect with their teachers and friends, and keep up with their lessons. This active participation plays a big role in their academic growth and helps them achieve their best.
I do want to also take a moment to acknowledge the hard work of our teachers and staff. Their commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment for our students is a priority for our district.
As we move forward into our second quarter of school, I encourage you to maintain open lines of communication with your child's teachers and principal. Your involvement is key to your child(ren) 's success and helps create a strong partnership between home and school.
Looking ahead, we have many opportunities for you to connect with us, including parent-teacher conferences, family-teacher organization meetings, community nights, expos, and more. I invite you to participate and continue supporting our school and district community.
Thank you for being an essential part of your child(ren)’s educational journey. Together, we can ensure that this year is a successful and fulfilling one for all our students.
In service,
Dr. Willie E. Garrison II
School District of Beloit Superintendent
