Cheers to a Fantastic Year!!!
Dear HLA Families,
WOW, what a fantastic 2024-2025 school year it's been! Our students and staff have truly shined, focusing on improving academic achievements and making HLA a place where students love to learn!
I would like to offer my sincere thanks to all families who made HLA's Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week so very special! Every employee was included with gift bags full of the things we enjoy! Thank you again & again! It was the BEST week!
The month of May always brings with it, so many fun activities as well as our state testing requirements. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Summer vacation is quickly approaching! I am thrilled that our Safety Patrols are getting the opportunity to go to Washington D.C. this summer! Our summer camp is going to be so much fun, with weekly themes like super heroes, fairy tales and much much more!
Reflecting on the past school year, we have had so many great memories and exciting events to look back on. We continued many successful HLA traditions such as our family nights, book fair, Pumpkin Day, Lunch on the Lawn, awards ceremonies, numerous field trips, Field Day and so much more! We also added many new experiences, that we hope to continue next year and beyond.
I have loved my time at HLA! Thank you for all the memories! Thank you also for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Together we have learned much and shared experiences that will remain in our hearts for years to come! The passion and strength within our community makes HLA a truly special place for our children and a place that I have called HOME the past nine years. Have a fun filled summer and best wish always!
With gratitude,
Mrs. B.

Counselor’s Corner May -
Hello HLA Families!
As the school year starts to wind down, May brings a mix of excitement and reflection to our school. Our very last character trait for the school year is Creativity! Our definition of creativity is using your imagination to create something new or solve a problem.
I am so proud of our students. They have overcome challenges and obstacles this year, and have shown a great deal of resilience and perseverance.
Some of my favorite memories of the year include Pumpkin Day, wearing colors for staff member’s birthdays, Nox the therapy dog, and Kindness Week!
To our graduating fifth graders, congratulations! I am so proud of you. As you prepare to embark on this new chapter, remember the skills and the spirit you've cultivated here. Be brave, be curious, be kind, and never stop learning. Middle school is a fantastic opportunity to explore new interests, meet new people, and discover even more about yourselves. I will be cheering you on every step of the way!
As always, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
I wish all students and families an absolutely wonderful summer!
Warmly,
Ms. Bowser
