A Note From Mrs. Bowden...
Can you believe that we are at Progress Report time!?! Progress reports will be available on September 11th for you to review. This is a time for a mid-point check of your student's progress in each course. It is not their final grade.
This week's highlights: Curriculum Night is this week on September 3rd, Please come and join the Lions at Flag Football games and Boys & Girls Volleyball games. All games and events are on our LPS Website lpsfrisco.com click the calendar tab.
This has been the best start to the school year! Please note while we are in full-swing of school, so is the flu. Please do not send students to school with a fever.
While it has been a great start to the year, there have been several incidents of unkind behavior or unkind words being shared. We are a Leadership School and the expectations of the Student Code of Conduct will be followed. Any action of bullying, threats, or physical behavior will have a consequence. The educational environment is very important to the school community. Please visit with your student the expectations of our school, you and your student signed the Student Code of Conduct upon registration.
It is a great day to be a LION.

Curriculum Night with ESL & Dyslexia Teams
We are excited for you to join us on Tuesday, September 3rd for Curriculum Night from 5:30 - 7:30. This year we will have our Dyslexia and ESL team joining us for information.
- Dyslexia will be in Room 216 from 5:00 - 5:30.
- ESL will be in Room 216 from 6:30 - 7:00
Curriculum Night is designed to give parents a comprehensive overview of what your student will be learning throughout the year. Teachers will present the curriculum, instructional strategies, and classroom expectations, to assist you in understanding your student's academic journey ahead.
Please note that Curriculum Night is an informational event, not a time for individual parent-teacher conferences. If you have specific concerns or questions about your child's progress, we encourage you to schedule a separate meeting with the teacher. We look forward to seeing you there and working together to support your child's education!

9 Week Habits to Learn About & Practice
Habit #1 Means:
- I am in charge of the choices I make.
- I can react to things happening around me, like a soda bottle fizzing over, or I can Be Proactive and choose my mood and attitude.
- I can do the things I need to do without being asked by my teacher or parent.
Share with your Advisory class how you incorporated Habit #1 with your family this week.
Habit #5 Means:
- I listen to others without interrupting.
- I raise my hand when I want to speak and I wait to be called on.
- I don't blurt out.
- I try to understand other people's views and feelings, even if they are different from my own.
Share with your Advisory class how you practiced your listening skills to practice habit #5.
