🚗 Important Information - New Traffic Flow 🚌
Berthoud High School Students and Families:
We hope you have had a terrific summer! We are looking forward to seeing all of you next week for the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.
In order to enhance safety and reduce traffic congestion for each of our students, staff and visitors at the campus, we have made some adjustments to how individuals will enter and depart the building each day. Please note the following:
*Beginning on the first day of school, the loop entry in the front of the school will now be restricted to buses. All other vehicles will need to access the building by pulling into the parking lot on the east side of the school and proceeding counter-clockwise around the building (see attached map for details).
*All students will need to enter the school at the front door or through the door at the northwest corner of the building at the beginning and end of the school day. After 8:40am, any late students will continue to gain access to the building by coming to the front door only.
*Students will no longer be allowed to enter the building through the rear “commons” door.
*Parents and guardians who are dropping off students are asked to complete the one-way drop off at the northwest corner of the building. Our district facilities team has installed some new signage that will help guide visitors through this process.
We greatly appreciate your continued support as we launch these important changes. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at 970-613-7701.
We are excited to see all of you!
Sincerely,
Roy Tripi
Principal

🚗 BHS Parking Permits 🚙
ALL students that drive to BHS are required to display a parking permit in their vehicle to park on campus. Please register your vehicle at the following link: http://bit.ly/bhspermit or use the QR code posted by the main office for your FREE parking permit (1st=free, if replacement is needed=$2.00/ea.) Once you have completed the form and it has been processed, you will be called to the office to pick up your permit. The permits are good until the student graduates and will be turned in at that time.
Why is this necessary? For the students and staff safety we need information on every vehicle here at the school. Any vehicle without a permit or who is parked in violation of other school rules or laws may receive a Parking Violation from BHS. First offense is a $20.00 fine and fines go up for second and third violations. Payment must be made to the school’s Bookkeeping Office within 14 days after receiving the violation. Continual violations or a serious violation may result in loss of parking privileges at BHS. If you have any questions, please speak with SRO Deputy, Vince Mosley or Campus Security
🍎 2024 - 2025 Meal Application Information 🍏
For the 2024/25 school year, the Thompson School District will provide access to no-cost meals for all students through the Healthy School Meals for All program.
Research shows students perform better at school when they are not hungry. By providing access to breakfast and lunch for all students at no cost, we better support their learning.
Although all students will receive access to no-cost meals, it's still important for households to provide their income information when requested. Gathering this information allows the Thompson School District to receive the state and federal funding we qualify for. These funds go directly to schools to help cover the cost of meals and support after-school activities and other nutritional programs for students. Plus, qualifying households may be eligible for Summer EBT benefits, receive discounted or waived school fees, class materials, utilities support, and more. Providing household income information ensures you and your school receive all available financial support.
The attachments contain more information and forms to provide your household income information. While the following pages may reference eligibility for free or reduced-price school meals, access to breakfast and lunch will be provided free to all students regardless of household income.
Our school meals follow U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals. You can be confident your children are getting quality school meals while saving your family time and money.
For information on how to apply, please read the attached letter.

Estimados padres/tutores:
