One of the famous movie theater in the 1920's was called the Nickelodeon theater.The name Nickelodeon theater was first used in 1888 by Austin's Nickelodeon.Theaters were bulit,a trend that culminated in the lavish"movie palaces "of the 1920's.
How much???
In the 1920's many American towns had a movie theater.A man recevided more pay than in the past,even though he worked fewer.People in the 1920's watched a movie for just a nickel to watch a movie isn't that awsome.
Talkies
The new movies in the 1920's where called talkies. In the late 1920s, the technology called synchronized sound was developed, allowing movies to include talking and singing talkies. Everyone thought that talkies would be a revelation.

Kinetograph & Kinetoscope
Thomas Edison invented the kinetograph in 1889.The initial experiments on the Kinetograph (the camera used to create film for the Kinetoscope).Kinetograph is the first picture camera invented by Thomas Edison and W.K.L. Dickson in 1888.The two inventors combined a device adapted from a clock. Which allowed the regular motion of the film strip through the camera .It was able to imprint up to 50ft of film at about 40 frames per hour.
Sound
They entertained and made people laugh, making the world, a happier place to live in after the horrors of WWI everyone was so happy that there was sound in the movie.
Famous Actors in the 1920's
Charlie Chaplin was a famous celebrity during the 1920. He came from a family actors and actress. John Gilbert was an American actor, screenwriter and director. He rose to fame during the silent film era and became a popular leading man known as "The Great Lover".
