Girls KHSAA State Basketball Tournament Information
Congratulations to the Henderson County Lady Colonels on their Region 2 Championship win. They will be competing in the KHSAA Girls Sweet 16 State Tournament at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. Their first game is Thursday, March 14th at 7:00pm(CST) – 8:00pm(EST) vs North Laurel. Advance tickets will be available starting at 10:00am Thursday, March 7th at the Henderson County High School Bookstore. All tickets are $ 12.00 (2 years and above). Tickets will be on sale until Wednesday, March 13th at 10:00am. Tickets purchased at the door arrange from $ 14.00 -$ 20.00.

Junior and Senior Students - HCHS Guidance Department will be providing the SAT test for students on April 9th. If you want to take the test please register in Google PLT before Friday of this week. Cost is $47.50
Seniors: Prom waltz sign ups continue through this week. Go by the bookstore for information and to sign up.
The Spring Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, March 28th in the Auxiliary Gym. Permission slips can be picked up at a unit desk, from a Health Science teacher, or a Family and Consumer Science teacher. Please return the signed parental consent form to Mrs. Bailey in T210, Mya Curry, or Jordan Smith before March 28th to receive an appointment time.
Open Gym for HCHS Cheerleading is March 7, 18, & 25th. This is open to all Male/Female’s interested in Cheerleading for the 2019-2020 season. There are waivers that need to be signed in the Athletic Office to participate.
Any student interested in co op for the 2019-20 school year, please pick up the instructions and application at the tech unit desk. Health Science and Early Childhood students will use a different application provided by their teachers. Deadline for applications is MARCH 18.
Outdoor Track and Field Practice begins today @3:40 at the stadium. Student-athletes must have a valid physical to attend.
FCCLA will meet this Wednesday in T203 at 3:30 to about 4:15. Come learn about our fundraiser and all the fun for the rest of the year.
We are excited to plan our senior night to honor and recognize the graduating class of 2019. On Thursday, May 16 at 6:00, Henderson County High School will serving dinner during the recognition ceremony. During the evening, a slide show highlighting our seniors will play. Each senior is responsible for his or her unique slide, which is to include accomplishments, scholarships, future plans, and a picture. Students will have until March 29 to complete their slides. HCHS staff will then compile all of the slides into one presentation to be viewed during senior night. Please encourage your students to complete his or her slide by the deadline. We want to make sure all of our students are represented. Again, we look forward to this special evening and celebrating the class of 2019.
Henderson Co. 4-H is looking for male teens aging 16-19 (age as of June 25th, 2019) to attend and help with camp. Between attending the volunteer training meeting and attending camp, teens would get 75+ hours of community service hours. The cost for 16-17 year olds to attend is $25 and 18+ are free. If you have any questions or need more information please call Allie Brasher at 270 826-8387.

Seniors: The deadline to register for the April 13 ACT test is Friday March 8. Please see your unit counselor if you need an ACT waiver or help registering. THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO ACT TEST BEFORE THE HOLIDAY WORLD TRIP!
Sophomores: If you are interested in applying for the Henderson Community College Early College Program next year, please make sure that you register to take the ACT. The next test is on April 13 and the deadline to register is March 8. Please see your unit counselor if you need assistance registering.
