Middle Level Cross Country
Many local middle schools will be launching Cross-Country teams because running is far less of a contact sport. So our Stacy Middle Cross-Country teams will start practicing Monday, September 21st right after school. Please listen for information via Stacy announcements and further emails. If you have any questions please email Head Coach Jason Morley (Jmorley@milfordma.com) or Peter Boucher, Athletic Director at Pboucher@milfordma.com. All Stacy Middle Runners will be allowed and strongly encouraged to be at all practices whether they are remote that day or in school. Remote runners should show up at practice dressed and ready to run at the practice site. Runners coming from in-person school from Stacy Middle School should get changed and head to practice right after school. ALL runners need to have a mask with them at all practices, safe protocols will be discussed and implemented at the first practice.
Please review the included attachments, too, as these highlight our safety protocols and procedures.
Once you have read through this, please take care of these critically important steps:
1-Register on www.familyid.com. Please register as soon as possible to provide us with time to prepare our plans and protocols. Unlike past years, we simply will not be able to process registrations on our opening day. Please register now, thank you.
2-Gather a copy of the most up-to-date physical for your student-athlete(s) & have your player(s) drop it off with Coach Morley, Coach Macchi, or Coach Auger or scan and email to Whowe@milfordma.com, unless we already have a copy on file.
3-Plan to start practice Monday 9/21 immediately after school and expect to practice most days after school. Middle School teams typically do not practice on weekends.
4-Reminder > Students physically in school will be allowed to change for practice in MHS locker rooms (socially distanced, capacity will be monitored); students working remotely that day will need to report DIRECTLY to the practice facility, they cannot enter the school.
5-Be READY TO RAWK, we are EXCITED to Practice & Play again! Our players should've been preparing for quite some time so everyone should be ready to practice next Monday 9/21.
