The school day begins at 7:25 a.m. Students are expected to be in the classroom and ready to receive instruction by 7:25 a.m. Students that arrive after that are considered late.
Early Dismissals: When possible, please schedule meetings and appointments for your student after school hours or when school is closed. No early dismissals after 1:30p.m. daily.
Student Vision Profile a NEW Tool in ParentVue
Your student's path to a thriving future starts with the Student Vision Profile. Login to ParentVUE to access this interactive document with information about your student(s). In the Student Vision Profile, you will find:
- Information about students’ personal values and career interests (from Naviance assessments).
- Career pathway information.
- PWCS high school specialty program information.
- Information about the profile of a PWCS graduate and tips for students and parents to ensure academic success.
- Suggested action steps for the student and parent/guardian for each post high school path (college, career, military, world of work).
Do not hesitate to reach out to your student's school counselor for more information about planning for life after high school.
PWCS 2024 Employment Fair
PWCS will host an Employment Fair on Monday, April 8 from 5 - 7 pm at Colgan HS. Seniors who are seeking employment/apprenticeship opportunities are encouraged to attend and should bring several copies of their resume. There will also be summer job options for students in grades 9-12. Registration is NOT required.

❗ LOOKING FOR STUDENT LEADERS ❗
Looking for an excellent resume booster, or a chance to affect real change for the students of PWCS? The application window for the 2024-2025 Student School Board Representative is now open. Applications can be found on the PWCS website (link opens in new tab). This position is available for Rising Juniors or Rising Seniors and applications are open until April 2nd 2024. Freedom will ultimately select two applicants to interview at the county level for a position on the Prince William County Student Senate! Please reach out to Mr. Trotter (trottenj@pwcs.edu, or in room 1129) for more information.
Academic Support
Remediation is now offered to support all students. If a student needs the extra support in English, Math, Science, History, EPF and World Languages, make sure your student seeks assistance. Tuesdays and Wednesday 2:10pm - 4:30pm report to the enclosed cafeteria (students will be informed of the location for remediation)- STUDENTS MUST REPORT TO THE ENCLOSED CAFETERIA BY 2:10pm -

A REMINDER:
Last opportunities to purchase Prom tickets will be on the following days (announcements have been made daily). Both days will be during all lunches in the commons. Cash or QR is accepted.

The 2024 Senior Class trip will be to Kings Dominion on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Tickets are $20 for Seniors who purchased the Gold Package and $40 for all other seniors. Students in attendance will be provided with a meal voucher. Funds and permission slips are due by April 2, 2024.
