WHS Juniors and Seniors visited Grand Valley State University last week. Students enjoyed an admissions presentation, a walking tour of campus and lunch! Campus visits are a great opportunity to see and feel what college life is really like.
Wednesday, September 25th, was the annual Juniors vs Seniors Powderpuff game. This year, our Juniors came with their own cheer squad! Check out their stunting skills!
Windsocks
On Thursday, September 26th, Mrs. Wright's Kindergarten class learned about wind and storms through a Mystery Science lesson. After the lesson, they made windsocks and took them outside to see if it was windy. Her students were very excited to see the windsocks blow in the wind. It was a fun, hands-on way to observe weather!
You're not seeing double, Dorr Elementary was "Twinning like a Twix" as part of their Home "Sweet" Homecoming Spirit Week. Students and staff had a blast dressing alike!
On Friday, September 27th, National Honors Society held a breakfast to welcome their 47 new members. These members will officially be inducted into the program on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 6:30pm in the Fine Arts Center.
"Incorporating Books and Movement in General Music"
Jennifer Bailey, music specialist at Baker and Steeby Elementaries, presented "Incorporating Books and Movement in General Music" to the Western Michigan University Chapter of National Association for Music Education at their September meeting.
