Important Reminders

Weaver families,

Welcome to the last week of 2nd Quarter! We have several activities happening this week that we want to make sure you are aware of. Please pay attention to the Upcoming Dates and Events section to see all of the fun things happening at Weaver over the next week.

As the weather turns colder, please remember to send students to school with coats, gloves, hats, etc. Students will have outdoor recess unless the temperature/wind chill is 20 degrees or below.
If your student is missing a coat/jacket or any other clothing, please encourage them to check the Lost and Found.
If your student is going to be absent, call the office at (417)523-1200 and let Sussie know.
Please call the office before 2:30 if you have a transportation change for your student.
If you would like to shout-out your student's teacher or any other Weaver staff member, see the information below, and fill out the form.

Holiday Spirit Week--Song Edition

Classroom Party Information

With all of the events going on next week, we are trying to minimize the number of distractions for our students. Instead of having individual classroom winter parties, all classrooms will be doing small celebrations with their buddy classrooms (students and staff only) on Thursday, December 19th.

What's Happening at Weaver This Week?

2nd Grade to the Ballet

On Wednesday, December 18th, 2nd graders will take a field trip to the Springfield Ballet.

K-2 Bounce House and Glow Dance Party

The afternoon of December 18th, Kindergarten students who have met their behavioral goal during testing, and 1st and 2nd graders who have met their Galileo Growth Goal will be invited to participate in a Bounce House and Glow Dance Party. Please watch for a permission slip to come home on Monday for your student to be able to participate.

Cookie Decorating Party for Attendance

On Friday (12/20) in the afternoon, all students Pre K-5th grade who have met their goal of 95% attendance from November 6th-December 20th will be invited to come to a cookie decoration party. As a reminder, in order to qualify for this students cannot have missed more than 1.5 days of school since November 6th. Invitations for this party will go home later this week.

Buddy Classroom Celebrations

On Thursday, December 19th students and staff members will be doing small celebrations with their buddy classrooms to end the quarter. These celebrations will be in place of individual classroom parties.

Central Assembly Gift Celebration

Central Assembly will be at Weaver the morning of December 20th to celebrate the holidays with students and provide each student with a gift. We are so thankful for Central Assembly's support of our Weaver staff, students, and families!

Tooth Truck Information

Hello Weaver Families,

The Tooth Truck is hoping to see us here at Weaver after winter break. If you did not have the chance to fill out one of the paper applications that were sent home for your child, there is still time. Please use this QR code and fill out an application for your student. We are so fortunate to have this service available to the kiddos at Weaver. Please take advantage of this opportunity to keep these kiddos healthy and happy.

Cold Weather Information

Parents/Guardians-

Please see the following information about cold weather guidelines for recess. Please note that we will take students out for at least 10 minutes of recess unless the temperature or windchill falls below 20 degress. Please ensure that students have appropriate cold weather gear (coats, hats, gloves, pants, closed-toe shoes) every day.
