ASB Hosts Stang' Street Food Fest & Market
Today, our ASB students held a Stang' Street Food Fest & Market where multiple clubs on our campus had the chance to sell Boba, Portos, Lumpia, Ice Cream, Spam Musubi, handbags, Jewelry, and other items to our students. All proceeds went directly back to the clubs. It was a great opportunity for our clubs to fundraise and mix things up during lunch before heading into Spring Break.
We want to wish everyone a safe and relaxing Spring Break! Use the time to rest, rejuvenate, and recharge before we hit the last six weeks of the semester.

WHCC Invests $20,000 into additional Lunch Seating & Shade!
Walnut High Community Club voted to increase seating and shade for our students at lunchtime. WHCC ordered 16 tables for $20,000 and 20 umbrellas for $1,550. We are excited to announce that 5 tables were delivered this week, and 11 more should arrive after Spring Break! While we understand it’s not always possible for all our 2200 students to have lunch at a table in the shade, we strive to increase seating and shade when our budget allows.
We see this as a long-term investment as these heavy-duty tables should last for many years. There are many more opportunities for more tables and umbrellas around the school, so we hope to raise more funds soon.

1st Annual Volleyball Golf Tournament | June 1, 2022
The Walnut High School Girls Volleyball Program will be hosting their 1st Annual Golf Tournament on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Los Serranos Golf Club. This event raises vital funds to support our girl's volleyball program. These funds will be used to purchase much-needed equipment, tournament fees, transportation, meals, and supportive coaching staff to help them succeed on the court.
Our goal is to always provide a safe, instructive environment for all of our athletes to learn and develop skills to be better volleyball players, but more importantly, productive members of society and fielding a competitive program.
To continue to make this experience a reality for our program, we are reaching out directly to area businesses, family, and friends and offering the opportunity to help by becoming a sponsor.
Included in this letter is a brochure with a variety of sponsorship packages for you to review and details about the tournament. All donations to our volleyball program are tax-deductible. Our Tax ID # is 95-6003446. Your support for this event will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your consideration. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. STUDENT CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
Students must attend every class, every day, and be on time. In order to receive daily credit, students are to bring all necessary materials to class. Only behaviors befitting the learning environment are acceptable. Students are to comply with all reasonable requests of any staff member. Dress code will be enforced.
ATTENDANCE COUNTS | Reporting a Student Absence
Attendance is an essential part of each student's educational plan at Walnut High School. A parent/guardian must contact the attendance office for full-day absences by the end of the day. This procedure helps us fulfill required attendance monitoring obligations and helps ensure our students' safety.
Any student who arrives 30 mins late to school must check in to the attendance office either with a parent/ guardian or a phone call from their parent/guardian.
If a parent/guardian wishes to dismiss a student before the end of a typical school day, the parent/guardian will have to check out the student and must present their ID to the attendance office.
Attendance Reporting Hotline:
10 & 11 Grades: 909-594-1333 Ext. 43642
9 & 12 Grades : 909 - 594-1333 Ext 43625
SCHOOL LUNCH POLICY
Due to safety concerns, we DO NOT accept student lunches in the office. We understand the importance of student nutrition, but we encourage students to either purchase lunch at school or bring their lunch from home. Food, drinks, or other items are NOT to be passed to students through the fence. This is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Please Note: Parents can now access the Food Services Department from our website under the Parents tab. On that page, parents can set up and deposit funds into their student's lunch account for purchasing lunch on campus.
