Dear AACV Members,

Happy New Year, AACV Members!

As we begin 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the importance and significance of having a union to represent CVESD administrators. AACV is here to advocate for your needs, protect your rights, and ensure your voice is heard. From securing a strong contract to representing members at board meetings and navigating challenges, our union is committed to serving you every step of the way. Always remember you have a right to representation in all meetings that you are asked to attend that are related to your employment or could become disciplinary, no member should ever feel they must attend alone. Ensure you have the number of our Executive Director, Donis Coronel, in your contacts, 619-813-8792.

Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and most of all for your trust in me to represent you as President of AACV. Together, we’ll continue building a brighter future for our schools, students, and colleagues. Over the past couple of months, AACV has provided representation and support to several of our members. If you find yourself in a situation where you are called to a meeting with your supervisor or Human Resources, ask the topic. The AFSA Diann Woodard Scholarship is available exclusively to children of AFSA members in good standing (of which all AACV members are). The AFSA General Executive Board will select five (5) recipients each year based on academic excellence, passion for volunteerism and display of exceptional work ethic. An applicant must be a graduating high school senior who will be attending college for the first time in 2025. The application deadline is March 28, 2025.
