KHS Update
04/11/2025

Principal's Message
We're in the thick of Spring Testing Season.
All ninth and tenth grade students will take NWEA/MTYA testing on Wednesday, April 16th from 9 to 11:30. Lunch will take place from 11:30 to 12 with a modified schedule of blocks 1-4 from noon until 2:11. Makeups will occur on the 17th.
11th Graders who previously registered for the School Day SAT will also be testing in Economos.
12th Graders and 11th graders NOT taking the SAT should arrive in time to be in their first block class at 12:00 on April 16th.
The NWEA and the Maine Through Year are important and state mandated tests that help us identify and meet the needs of our students. We use the results to support students individually, and identify trends the help us adjust our practice to support students. 9th and 10th grade students should come with their Chromebooks charged and report to the locations for their tests which will be communicated to them and will be posted in the lobby.
Finally, we are asking that families do not call to dismiss your students when they finish the test. When students leave before the end of the testing session it disrupts the testing environment and should only happen in extreme circumstances. Early dismissals created an incentive for students to rush through the test and it creates a distraction for the students still testing. We appreciate your support with this.
Detailed information about senior events was emailed earlier this week.
Final Exams for the 9-11th grades will be on June 12th, 13th, 16th and 17th. The schedule is lined below.
Peace,
Scott Tombleson (He/Him/His - What is this?)
Principal - Kennebunk High School
