Home & School Board Elected at April Meeting
The final meeting of the Home & School was on Tuesday, April 2. At the meeting, the Home & School Board for 2024-2025 was elected. We are excited to announce our 2024-2025 H&S Board:
President - Laura Lawson
Vice President - Kristina Kilty
Treasurer - Jessica Moehrle-Focht
Secretary - Rachel Holler
Floral and Hardy events on Friday, May 17 - Don't Miss May 1st Deadline for workshop!
On Friday, May 17 Home and School is having two events at Floral and Hardy. Event 1 is from 6pm-7:30pm. It is an after hours shopping event for our Home and School. All purchases will earn a 10 percent commission for Oak Ridge. It’s the perfect time to pick up garden plants, flowers or home decor.
Event two is a Summer Container workshop. It is from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Create your own beautiful summer container. The price of the workshop is $62.54. More information and registration can be found on this Google form. Registration and payment is due by May 1.
Don't Forget to Order Flowers for the Spring Concert!
Oak Ridge Home and School Association will be running a flower sale at the Spring Concert on May 8th. We are selling bouquets of flowers that you can purchase for your singer/musician.
All bouquets need to be pre-ordered and paid for in advance. They will be available for pick up prior to the start of the concert.
Two different options are available: a small or large bouquet. Both bouquets will include baby’s breath, greens, cello wrap and a bow. The small bouquet will include a minimum of 4 stems of flowers, while the large will include a minimum of 8 stems. The cost for the small bouquet is $8 and the large is $15. Please use the QR code to pay via Venmo and make sure to note your child's name when paying for the bouquet.
All orders are due by Friday, May 3rd.
We will also be offering wooden roses for sale that evening for $2 each. Start a new tradition or add to a bouquet you've already started!

Spring Spiritwear Recap
The spring spiritwear orders arrived and have been delivered to your student. Thank you to everyone who purchased items this year!
Afterschool Rec - Thanks for a great year!
Afterschool Recs are complete for this school year (with 3rd and 5th grade this week). The students had a great time! Thank you to all our student and parent volunteers! We look forward to more events in the fall.
Box Tops for Education
April was a busy month for Box Tops! We had 21 school supporters and earned $93.60 as of April 29. One of Oak Ridge Elementary’s wish list items are trees for the playground/open field area. We are using funds earned from Box Tops for the “Tree Fund”.

Spring Flea Market Fundraiser - Saturday, May 18!
Our Oak Ridge Spring Flea Market Fundraiser is coming up on Saturday 5/18 from 8-11am. There is still time to register to sell, just send an email to oakridgefleamarket@gmail.com with your info. There will be a bake sale at this event too. We are looking for baked good donations as well as market volunteers. Please use this sign-up genius if you're able to help.
Spring cleaning? Donate your unwanted items!
Oak Ridge Home and School is collecting donations to sell at our Flea Market.
Please consider donating your gently used items. All profits will go to Home & School.
We can accept such items as:
- Clothing (all types/sizes), shoes, accessories, jewelry, purses, backpacks
- Toys, books (for all ages), sports gear, electronics
- Lamps, small furniture, blankets, quilts, home decor
- Household items, small appliances, holiday decorations
We ask that all donations be in good, clean, sellable condition.
Please note: Any unsold items will not be returned and will be donated to the Oak Ridge Home & School Clothing Drive or a local charity.

Celebrate your graduate with a Graduation Yard Sign on sale until Wednesday, May 8th.
Signs are 18"x24", double-sided, and printed in color. Metal stakes are included.
