Dear Will County School District 92 Community,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We hope this message finds you well and enjoying the last couple weeks of a wonderful summer break!
I am thrilled to join the Bulldog family and be a part of such a vibrant and welcoming community! Over the past month, I have had the incredible opportunity to witness firsthand the dedication, support, and enthusiasm that define District 92. From meeting passionate educators to interacting with enthusiastic students and their families, it is clear that this is a place where everyone is committed to fostering a positive and enriching environment. I am excited to contribute to the ongoing success of our schools and to work alongside all of you to make this an exceptional year for our students.
Over the summer, the District was busy preparing to welcome all students back to school for an amazing 2024 - 2025 school year! In just a few short weeks, your children will enter the doors of their school to meet an energized team of teachers and staff who are beyond excited to create wonderful learning experiences and opportunities for your child throughout the school year.

CLASS PLACEMENTS
Considerable thought and care have been applied to class placements. On Monday, August 12, PowerSchool will open for students in grades preschool through 8th grade. Parents and guardians will have access to their student's schedule, teacher assignment, and transportation information in PowerSchool. Oak Prairie students will also receive a copy of their class schedule in the mail on Monday, August 12.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: AUGUST 21, 2024 for K-8 STUDENTS
The first day of school for students in kindergarten through eighth grade is Wednesday, August 21. Friendly reminder that students dismiss forty minutes early on Wednesdays throughout the year while our staff engage in professional learning communities focused on providing best instructional practices. Ludwig & Oak Prairie dismiss at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesdays and Walsh & Reed dismiss at 2:50 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Our preschool friends will join us for their first day on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
Regular School Day Schedules (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
Walsh: 8:50 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Reed: 8:50 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Ludwig: 7:50 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Oak Prairie: 7:50 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
*Ludwig & Oak Prairie dismiss at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesdays
*Walsh & Reed dismiss at 2:50 p.m. on Wednesdays.
TRANSPORTATION
We are excited to partner with Grand Prairie Transit this year to provide all our busing needs. Bus transportation for our students begins on the first day of school. Please review your route information, which will be provided in PowerSchool on August 12, prior to the first day of school. You might have noticed a few Grand Prairie buses in your neighborhood lately, and that's because Grand Prairie bus drivers are diligently practicing their routes to ensure they are fully prepared to safely and efficiently transport our students when the school year begins.
