Stony Point Updates
Garden Day
Today, we held our first ever school-wide Garden Day at Stony Point for an early celebration of Earth Day! The event focused on the importance of pollinators and how to protect them. Every student received a packet of marigold seeds to plant. We hope that you will help your child to plant the seeds and participate in some of the additional activities attached (click HERE to view).
A huge thank you to Amber Capron and the Piedmont Master Gardeners for organizing and facilitating this event, which we hope to make an annual Stony Point tradition! Some pictures of the event are included below, but check out our Facebook page to view even more!
Mental Health Night
Last night, PTO hosted Stony Point's first Mental Health Night where families heard from mental health professionals in the community and created their own "take home mental health kits" with resources.
Thank you to PTO for organizing and for all of the professionals who spoke, including our very own School Counselor, Ms. Corpora, and Social-Emotional Learning Coach, Mr. Will!
