Please make sure that you have logged into you your parent/guardian PowerSchool account and reviewed any fees that you currently owe. The last day to submit personal checks, made payable to Franklin Academy, for the 24-25 school year, is Wednesday April 30, 2025. Personal checks, submitted for payment on Thursday May 1, 2025, thru Monday June 30, 2025, will be rejected as acceptable payment. Our Business Office will accept personal checks again, in preparation for the 25-26 school year, on Tuesday July 1, 2025.

There will be no school for students until Tuesday April 1, 2025,

when classes resume for students and our offices will resume

their regular office hours for telephone and in-person assistance.

• Quarter 4 Clubs will run from Monday April 7 to Thursday May 22, 2025.

• This is the final quarter of clubs for the school year.

Our Academic Camps will continue throughout April, 2025, for registered Kindergarten thru Grade 8/MYP Y3 students.

The last day of Academic Camps for K-2 sudents is Tuesday April 22, 2025.

Grade 3-8/MYP Y3 students' Academic Camps will end on Tuesday April 29, 2025.

Science and End-of-Course Camps will begin in April.
Information will be shared with eligible families via email.

K-5 Character Counts Trait: Courage “I try to be brave whenever I can be.”

Elementary students that can make the right choices and decisions, even if they are difficult to make, have courage to do so. They know and understand what is good, true, and right. These students can stand up with courage instead of hiding in fear of what is correct.

MYP IB Learner Profile Trait: Balanced “I have a tranquil body, active mind, and a vibrant soul.”

Grades 6-8/MYP Y1-3 students can manage various aspects of their lives to achieve optimal well-being for themselves and others, by being balanced. Students can also manage their intellectual, physical, and emotional health, by being balanced in their actions and overall well-being.

In April, we stand in solidarity with National Child Abuse Awareness Month, promoting safety, support, and advocacy for all children. We are committed to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for all students. Together, we can make a difference by spreading awareness and encouraging conversations that protect and empower our children.

Tickets purchased for our Marlins Fundraiser will be sent home with students on Thursday April 3.

Assistant Principals are campus leaders who support their principals, teachers, community and other team members to make sure the day-to-day operations are carried out successfully and efficiently.

We will celebrate National Assistant Principals Week April 7-12, by bringing awareness and celebrating these unsung heroes in our school.

Our assistant prinicipals, Mrs. Bryant, Mrs. Cardoso and Mrs.Torres, are those 'second in command' at our campus, and play a crucial role in the success of our school. They work closely with students, teachers, and families to improve academic outcomes, strengthen social-emotional learning, and create a positive climate and culture for all. We are grateful to have leaders committed to excellence and equity for all children, families and staff.

Earth Day will be recognized on Tuesday April 22, 2025, and students

may wear a blue, green, or white shirt with their uniform bottoms.

Broward County Public Schools support the National Youth Violence Prevention Week | April 28 - May 2. Its goal is to raise awareness and to educate students, school staff, and the community on effective ways to prevent or reduce youth violence. This week-long initiative includes activities demonstrating the positive role youth can have in making their school and community safer (Sandy Hook Promise).
