The Lions Roar is Riverwalk Academy's weekly athletic newsletter. Each week we will keep you updated about what is going on in our athletic program. Introduce you to one of our student athletes, and provide you with information that is beneficial to you and your athlete as they strive to improve every day.

Sports physicals for the 24-25 year must be dated after April 1, 2024. Athletic physicals, as well as other necessary document, must be uploaded into planetHS before students are allowed to participate in athletics.

The South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) is looking for creative minds to design the NFHS Section 3 Meeting logo. The competition is open to all high school students of the SCHSL membership. The winning logo will be used on all materials related to the NFHS Section 3 Meeting, which will be held this September in Charleston, S.C. The student who designs the winning logo will be highlighted in TuesNews and as well as on the SCHSL social media platforms. All logos submitted must be a high resolution (300 dpi or greater) digital logo and ready to print.

The deadline to submit the logo is Friday, March 28, 2025.

Mark your calendar for April 26. We are planning a big event at the school that includes our BBQ sale, the BPA Business Pop-Up event and a Car Show. More information will come next week!!! BBQ pre-sales are available on the school store.

Students must have a physical uploaded in planetHS to participate.

Looking for a way to show off your school pride? We have stickers available for purchase on the school store for $5.00.

Athletic fees can be paid in the school store. These must be paid before your student competes in an athletic competition. Fees are used to help offset all costs associated with running an athletic program (League dues, uniforms, official costs, transportation, rental fees, etc.). Please reach out to Mr. Ball if you have any questions or need assistance.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps support all of our athletes. We want to thank you for helping support our student-athletes.

Student athletes that are part of a varsity team before the first competition and remain with the team throughout the year will earn a varsity letter.

Letterman jackets can be purchased through Jostens.

The basic letterman's jacket for Riverwalk Academy has already been designed and can be found on the website. From there you can customize the jacket to fit your taste.
