DAVIES HIGH SCHOOL
EAGLES REPORT - SEPTEMBER 2024
Honor – Integrity – Pursuit of Excellence
Welcome Back Davies Eagles!
It has been a tremendous start to the school year! I don’t think anything can match the excitement and energy of those first few days of school. Seeing all the returning students and new freshmen walk through the doors that first day is an amazing experience. I have to give a huge shout out to all our staff and students for their efforts on such a great start.
This fall things will be busy with all kinds of student activities taking place and I encourage everyone to come out and support our Eagles any time they have something going on from athletics to music, to theater... Homecoming week will kick off with Coronation Monday, September 23, at 7:30 pm in the auditorium and will conclude with the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 28, from 8:30-10:30 pm. Between these days we will have a week full of activities here at Davies. If you have not had an opportunity to cheer and support our student athletes, I encourage you to find an activity this week to come support our kids.
For students needing extra academic help from their teacher they can do this from 8:05-8:40. Davies Eagle Hour was created to provide students with a block of time each morning where students can meet individually with their teacher to get academic help for anything they need. Students should reach out to their teacher to coordinate days they are available.
Thank you and have a great school year.
Go Eagles!

Asst. Principal

NURSES CORNER
With school starting, comes the need to get caught up on immunizations that are required for school. As a reminder, those students who are Juniors and have turned 16 are required to have their 2nd MCV4 vaccine. If they turn 16 in the middle of the year, please schedule with your provider at that time as we will be keeping track of all students who require this vaccine. We are fortunate to have the Family HealthCare mobile unit come to our school on October 17th to help with this process if you are unable to get your child scheduled with their regular provider. The paperwork that needs to be filled out is LINKED HERE. Please note that the mobile unit is open to everyone (as long as the paperwork is filled out). If you have any questions, please call me in the nurse’s office at 701-446-5621
