Bus Expectations
So far this year, there have been numerous reports across various buses of unsafe and unexpected behaviors on the bus. In reviewing some of the video footage of the buses I can confirm that our students need some explicit reminders about expected bus behaviors specifically:
- Safe riding- Students should be sitting in their seats the whole ride and only getting up when it is their stop and their hands should never be on another student for any reason
- Safe volume- Students should use quiet voices to talk to their seat partners and those close to them
- Respectful language - Students should be using kind words and may not swear or use violent/harmful language towards others

We are just a few short weeks away from Walpole's 300th Anniversary Parade! The Parade will kick off on October 5th at 11am from the Norfolk County Agricultural High School and proceed up Main Street to the Town Common and then turn and proceed up Common Street to Walpole High School which will allow for 2 miles of viewing. Downtown we will have food trucks around the common. Join us as we watch bands and performance groups from around the region celebrate our hometown.
The 300th Committee is also looking for additional floats from Community Groups, as well as antique autos which would like to participate in the parade. Check out Walpole300.com for more information

Dear Parents and Guardians,
My name is Liam Gutmacher, owner of LG Martial Arts in Norwood MA, and I am so excited to offer a Martial Arts after school program for the students of Fisher Elementary School. With my years of experience teaching Taekwondo and working with after-school students in Norwood, Westwood and Dover, as well as growing up in Sharon, I’m thrilled to bring my passion for Martial Arts to this amazing community!
I will run a 3 week program on Wednesday afternoons from 3:25 pm - 4:15 pm, which will conclude with a finale at my Martial Arts School for your children to perform what they learned. Our first class will be on Wednesday, November 6th followed by Nov 13th and Nov 20th, then our finale on Saturday, Nov 23rd from 1pm - 2pm. The finale will be an exciting way for the kids to perform what they have learned and give them a chance to visit my school. I will provide refreshments during the finale and all parents and guests are invited that day!
Every week of the program, the kids will be given a martial arts homework assignment (Mission) for them to complete and to be approved and signed by their parents. The 3 missions are Confidence, Respect and Teamwork with varying assignments based on the week. I look forward to your children completing these character development missions while learning some cool Martial Arts skills.
As an added incentive, all the proceeds of this program will go directly back to Fisher Elementary school! I hope to create a great fundraiser for your school, while giving them a fun experience learning Martial Arts.
If you would like to learn more about me and my program before signing up, my website and social media will be listed below. I have a popular YouTube channel with over 100k followers that demonstrates the skills your kids will one day learn in my program. I can’t wait to teach them and be a positive role model in their lives.
Sincerely,
Liam Gutmacher
