DISTRICT RESOURCES
Corwell Health John Glenn Teen Clinic
The Corewell Health John Glenn Teen Clinic is open! We provide physicals, hearing and vision screenings, immunizations, sick care and asthma management. We will also have mental health services available in the near future. We are grant funded and accept all insurances, however, no patient will be turned away for inability to pay.
The clinic is located at John Glenn High School, 36105 Marquette, Westland, MI.
Family Resource Center
Wayne-Westland Community Schools has a Family Resource Center (FRC), which provides services to any student/family enrolled in our District, free of cost. Some of the services they provide are essential needs assistance, access to over 700 local resources, a Laundry Assistance Program and material items for those unable to afford them (emergency toiletries, socks/underwear, hats/gloves/scarves, etc.) They can also supply school supplies and backpacks year-round for any WWCS student. Please contact our Family Resource Center at 734-419-2709 or FRC@wwcsd.net. Our FRC also has a Digital Request for Services Form, which can be used to request assistance by filling out a simple form. Please contact the Family Resource Center directly with additional questions regarding their services.
Lunch Balance and PaySchool
If you need to add money to your student's PaySchool account, please click on the link below to access the PaySchool system. Please allow 24 hours for your students updated balance to be reflected! You may also send in cash on Thursdays to give to your child's teacher to purchase extra slices of pizza.
Care Solace
If you or a family member are looking for help with mental health or substance use, Care Solace can help you quickly find treatment options matched to your needs regardless of the circumstance. Care Solace is a complimentary and confidential service provided to students, staff, and their families by Wayne-Westland Community School District. Care Solace’s team is available 24/7/365 and can support you in any language.
Volunteer Information
In an effort to ensure the safety and security of its students, Wayne-Westland Community Schools is continuing with our safety procedure for field trip chaperones, and volunteers (Literary Corp, Watch Dogs, Coaches, etc.).
It is necessary for all individuals who will be chaperoning field trips or volunteering in a classroom to provide information for a criminal conviction/background check. All volunteers must complete the Wayne-Westland Community Schools Criminal History Consent Form for School Volunteer Application. This form must be completely filled out and signed by the volunteer, the administrator must sign this form, and a clear copy of the driver's license must be attached. If you have more than one child in the district, a single ICHAT request is sufficient; please list all of the schools where you will be chaperoning / volunteering at the top of the volunteer application. The form will be sent to the Human Resources and Operations office and checked through the ICHAT (Internet Criminal History Access Tool) database.
