Peek of the Week

APRIL 6-12, 2025
Dear St. Theresa Catholic School Families,
We are thrilled to share that our 2025 STCS Gala was an incredible success! Thanks to the generosity of our community, we exceeded our goal and raised over $200,000 in proceeds. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the unwavering support and devotion of our STCS family—truly embodying the spirit of our "Hopelessly Devoted" Grease-inspired evening!
These funds, including contributions from Paddles Up, will directly support STREAM programming, campus facilities updates, and instructional support for our students. Your generosity allows us to enhance hands-on learning opportunities, improve our campus environment, and provide valuable resources to elevate student learning. We are hopelessly devoted to our students' success, and your support ensures that STCS continues to grow and thrive as the hidden gem in Memorial Park.
Thank you to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and attendees for making this a night to remember!
Love and Light,
Sarah Fox
Principal

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL PARENTS REGARDING EARLY PICK-UPS & CAR LINE/KIDVENTURE STATUS
To ensure the safety and efficiency of our dismissal process, we kindly request that parents notify both the Front Office (frontoffice@sttheresa.cc) and their child(ren)'s homeroom teacher via email whenever an early pick-up is necessary. Likewise, please email as early as possible in the morning if you have a change to your child's carline pick-up or Kidventure status. This advance notice allows us to prepare your child for a smooth transition and ensures that we can accurately track student departures. Your cooperation in providing this information helps us maintain a secure and organized environment for all our students. Thank you for your help!

STCS CHESS TEAM TAKES 3RD PLACE!
FROM COACH BRYANT:
Despite having the smallest number of players competing as a team in the top 10 winners, the St. Theresa Chess Team made a big impression in the 2025 Houston Catholic City Championship taking 3rd place among the best chess teams in Houston! Our team of 7 students competed this past Saturday and managed to score 15/20 possible wins: Dillon, Charlie, Mathias, Jonah, Greyson, Sawyer, and Jose.
As their Coach I will tell you, they impressed me not only for competing at their best, but also for supporting each other throughout this event. Returning students who recorded their games helped the team analyze between rounds to learn from their own mistakes. I was impressed by these students who were very also so helpful and welcoming to our newest teammates. Even during the difficult times when a player is dealing with a tough loss, I was so proud to see our students comforting each other and helping them settle down and get ready for their next round.
As a junior competitor, I struggled in my first 5 tournaments with no teammates or coach to help me learn from my mistakes. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to lead this amazing team at St. Theresa where all of us have come together to make this important chapter of our students' lives so great.
While trying to come up with ideas for a chess party to celebrate our big win, I decided to go for an ice cream party on Thursday. If anyone wants to bring party supplies, snacks, or toppings to add to the ice cream party, I will provide Blue Bell for the students.
