Course 4780 : Increasing Student Engagement Through Productive Math & Science Routines
Instructional routines are a predictable set of actions that can be used on a regular basis to engage all students in developing mathematical and scientific thinking. When routines are consistent and strategic, students are situated to think about challenging ideas in a safe environment. Our sessions are built upon the belief that we can learn from the “Implement, Reflect and Refine” approach to teaching. During this four session course, you will have the opportunity to engage in productive instructional routines in mathematics as a student, make connections to science, and have time to plan the implementation of these routines in your own classroom. Presented by district Math TOSA Susan Watson and district science TOSA Andrea Parker, location Lewisville Campus, room C-20. Earn up to 8 STEM clock hours.
Class starts 2-27-20.
