News from Our Social Worker
Car Safety is extremely important! All of our students should be properly buckled into a car seat or booster seat every time they travel in the car. This also includes younger siblings.
There is an opportunity for families to receive a free car seat or booster seat if you participate in a 1 hour virtual car safety training. It takes place on June 25th from 1:30-2:30 virtually. If you are interested, click on this link, complete the intake form for NFI Family Resource Center and note on that form that you are interested in the car seat safety class. You will be sent a link to participate.
Please reach out the me, Jennifer WIlliams, the school social worker, with any questions. (978) 446-7000

Tips of the Week (BASICS)
TRY THIS: Make feely bags with your student. Choose five small objects in your home, You can take turns choosing one to put in a paper bag. using only hands to feel, let your child guess what is inside the bag!
Scan the QR code here to get tips like this from Dr. Ron Ferguson and BASICS!
Remember.. Kindergarten Registration is REQUIRED!
If your child is going to kindergarten in the 25-26 school year, they must be registered with Lowell Public Schools, even if they were registered for preschool. You can do it online www.lowell.k12.ma.us/registration or in person at the Family Resource Center (151 Merrimack Street)
Spotlight on ATTENDANCE
Did you know....
Showing up on time every day is important to your child's success and learning from preschool forward.
Missing 10% of school (1 or 2 days every few weeks) can make it harder to:
*Gain early reading and math skills.
*Build relationships.
* Develop good attendance habits.
High quality preschool and kindergarten has many benefits!
*The routines your child develops will continue throughout school.
*Make the most of early grades by encouraging your child to attend every day.
