Rising Kindergarten Night
We are excited to meet our newest Bobcats! We will be holding our Rising Kindergarten Night tomorrow May 7th from 4:30-6pm. The evening will start in the gym (current building-541 Sunnyside Dr SE ) with a brief introduction of the Kindergarten team. Our new Bobcats will then join the teachers in the classrooms to meet one another and experience some of the activities and resources they will see next year. While students are with teachers, families will remain in the gym to hear additional important information including transportation information, connecting family via Parent Square accounts, information about school nutrition and more! Before picking your student(s) up you will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow night!
Bike to School and Chalk the Walk
Please join us and bike to school this Wednesday morning from 7:15AM-7:45AM at the lot on Union Street near McAllister avenue.

At 7:45AM we will bike to school as a group, and families are invited to stay after to "chalk the walk" with encouraging messages for our students in preparation of End-of-Year testing!

Opportunity
Family (Parent/Guardian) Survey
Dear CCS Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
Evaluating a school’s learning environment and organization is important for school districts. Our School Quality Survey was developed so a variety of stakeholders — instructional staff, administrators, parents/guardians, and students — could assess their school and their experiences. This survey instrument includes items that each of these stakeholders can respond to, allowing for rich analysis of perceptions across stakeholder groups.
Parent feedback is one way for us to engage in an ongoing, two-way dialogue, which is a critical step to our district providing the best educational experience for all students.
This survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Cabarrus County Schools is administering the survey and analyzing results. Reports will not identify individuals, and only overall data will be shown. No one in Cabarrus County Schools will know if you participated unless you identify yourself in the open-ended comments. If you have questions about this survey or your confidentiality, please contact Cabarrus County Schools at cabcoschools@cabarrus.k12.nc.us . This survey will close at 11:59 P.M. on May 9, 2024. If you have multiple children in the district, please submit a survey for each child's school.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your honest feedback. I look forward to sharing the results with you in the coming months.
Stay Well,
John Kopicki, Ed.D.
CCS Superintendent
