Windermere Weekly Update

If you have not filled out your free and reduced lunch application this year, you need to do so ASAP!

Did you know that this determines our school's socioeconomic status? Last school year, we ended the year with 60% of our students qualifying for free or reduced lunch. Currently, we're only at 49%. That means a LOT of people haven't completed the form. The application is linked at the bottom of this page! Or click the picture to the left.

The higher the percentage, the more money the school gets to supplement our campus needs. We have very specific rules about how we can spend that money. Right now, this MONEY FUNDS 2 TEACHER POSITIONS on campus. It does NOT hurt our campus if you fill out the form and you don't qualify.

ALL families who have submitted an application, regardless of status, will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card (x2). Also, each student of the families that fill out the application will be entered into a drawing for an e-scooter (x2). Thank you to PTO for paying for these giveaways!

Please help us by not allowing your child to bring toys to school. It can be a huge distraction and they often get lost and it becomes a big problem for students. Unless you specifically get information from a teacher that you can send something to school, please let your child know that it's not allowed. Thank you for your help!

If you were not able to join us for the first Annual Title I meeting, and would like to attend, please join us on Wednesday, the 16th. We'll be meeting in the auditorium and going over our accountability rating, the school and family compact and the parent engagement plan. One of our WES 5th graders, Grace, had her artwork showcased a couple of weeks ago at the Pflugerville Pfestival of Bands at the Pfield. Grace's artwork, titled, Swallowing the Sun, was displayed on the jumbotron! Way to make Windermere proud! Check out her artwork below!

The Fall Festival will be the carnival for the year. We will NOT have a Spring Carnival but instead will have the Fall Festival. We hope to see you there!

If you didn't see the email from MySchoolBucks, they stated that the AutoPay was being disabled. You will have to go in and re-authorize AutoPay to get started again.
