It's that time of year.....schedules are getting very busy, we are preparing for the Holidays, and excitement is in the air! Woohoo! In the craziness of the season, it can sometimes be hard to keep up with everything that is going on. We just want to remind everyone to take a moment to thoroughly read newsletters that come home both digitally and in Thursday folders so no one misses any important information! Thanks so much!

We would like to thank all of the families, teachers, and community members who came out to support the FRIENDS of SIES 3rd Annual Soar On, Skimmers Fun Run & 5K! The weather was beautiful, and everyone had a wonderful time exercising together. Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, and FRIENDS of SIES Board Members (Paige Hauff, Megan Stifel, Kelly Luchtel, Heidi Kaloupek, Katie Miars, Jimmy Craven, Jim Calla, and Badge Humphries). We would like to especially thank FRIENDS President Paige Hauff and her husband Rob for making this event such a success over the past three years. If you didn't come out this year, we hope to see you next year!

The PTA is collecting new, like new, or very gently used coats and pants in sizes 2T - Adult Small for North Charleston Elementary School. The collection will begin on Monday, November 18th and conclude Wednesday, December 17th. More details are below!

The cafeteria will be serving a delicious lunch on Thursday, November 21st for Thanksgiving. Please reference the menu below if your child would like to purchase. Yum!

Our book fair is right around the corner! The Literati Book Fair will be ON CAMPUS from December 5th through December 13th. There will be lots of available options on site for purchase. Book Fair flyers will be sent home in next Thursday's folder.

Today, students received a Literati Holiday Catalog in their Thursday folder. All of the products featured in the catalog, along with more than 10,000 additional books, toys, and educational games, are available for purchase online at the year round Literati store (literati.com/store). All items purchased ship directly to your home, and a portion of all sales benefit our library.

Head down to Front Beach on Isle of Palms and help bring in the holiday season "island style!" The annual Isle of Palms Holiday Street Festival will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 2 - 7 pm on Ocean Boulevard. This free event will have live music, carnival rides, local arts and crafts vendors, restaurants and even a visit from Santa Claus. The Sullivan's Island Elementary Chorus kicks off the event at 2 pm followed by The Abbey Elmore Band. Closing out the event will be a performance by Yesterday's Wine. The City of Isle of Palms will officially light the 24' tree at approximately 5:30 pm, and Santa Claus will stop by to visit with children from 4 - 6 pm. Throughout the event, local crafters will be on the street selling some of their specialty handmade gifts that are great for the holiday season. In addition to the free carnival rides, there will be face painting and much more.
