Otter Connection
Olympic Hills PTA Newsletter - October 16, 2024
Our mission is to work together to support, inform, and connect the diverse community of Olympic Hills Elementary by investing in our childrens’ education, safety, and well-being through inclusive community activities and enrichment programs.
All PTA events, offers, and activities are open to the entire Olympic Hills Elementary Community! You do not have to be a PTA member to join in the fun. If you would like to join the PTA for additional benefits and to be able to vote on PTA business, you can do so here.
Spotlight: Día de Muertos
The PTA is excited to fund the Día de Muertos celebrations and activities at our school again this year! Many of the Latinx educators have been working hard to organize all these amazing events and opportunities for Olympic Hills Elementary.
There will be an all school ofrenda in the main entryway. Feel free to bring in pictures and mementos starting on Monday the 28th to honor and commemorate the souls of deceased loved ones. Some classes may also have classroom ofrendas. There will be a Tapete de Arena (Sand Carpet) created by the amazing artist Fulgencio Lazo in partnership with our amazing 5th graders. We will also have workshops for making sugar skulls and papel picado and many in class activities and celebrations!
