Speed Networking Event a Huge Success!
The Kennett High School Leadership Academy hosted its first-ever Speed Networking Event on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. The event took place in the Kennett High School Library from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.
Twenty-two senior leaders participated, showcasing their skills, talents, and abilities in hopes of securing potential internship opportunities. Senior Marissa Herring remarked, "It really pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I liked that." Senior Lina Liu stated, "It was stressful, but an awesome learning experience." Sixteen business and community partners representing nine different organizations attended the event. Casey McCabe from Bancroft Construction commented, "I was very impressed with all the students, and it was well-run and structured." Dan Gannon from Union Street Financial added, "Great job by the students!" Kennett Consolidated School District Board Member Dr. Vicki Gehrt shared, "Fantastic event last night. Our students are beyond amazing and so very productive in their lives."
