Message to the Mindful School Ohana

Aloha Waikiki School 'Ohana,

We have noticed an increase in children bringing trading card games, such as Pokémon cards, to school. While these games can be a fun way for students to connect with their friends, I want to remind families that trading or giving away cards is not allowed on campus.

Too often, we hear stories of students regretting their decision to trade or give away cherished cards, leading to conflicts or hurt feelings. To ensure a positive and stress-free environment for all, we ask for your support in reinforcing this rule with your child.

If the issue continues, we may need to prohibit trading cards altogether. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated in helping us maintain a harmonious learning environment.

Gratitude Chain

Mahalo to the Waikiki School PTO for putting together a Gratitude Chain just in time for Thanksgiving! Families had the chance to decorate links and complete it with something they are grateful for. You can check out the lovely Gratitude Chain in our cafeteria.
