Our Boys and Girls Lion Cross Country Teams competed in the YAIAA County Cross Country Race on Tuesday.

Congrats to our girls, lead by Gabrielle Houck who finished 11th, followed by McKenna Childress, Lydia Gemmill and Jillina Sawicki, Savannah Shellenberger, Veronica Falevich-Saavedra and Peyton Webster

Our boys team took home the first place trophy becoming the 2024 YAIAA Champions. They were led by Daniel Naylor who won the race finishing first overall, followed by Cian Wisniewski in 4th, Parker Keiser in 7th, Matthew Yost in 8th, Ryan Coble in 14th, Levi Crowe in 16th and Elijah Wagaman

Both teams qualified for the District III race, to be held next Saturday. Best to all Lion Runners as they continue their postseason run.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for:

Monday, November 4 (8 a.m. - 8 p.m.)

Tuesday, November 5 (8 a.m. - 12 p.m.)

Thursday, November 14 (5 p.m. - 8 p.m)

Teachers will be sending out a message via Skyward message center. You may choose in-person or virtual conference.

• An admissions representative will be at Red Lion High School on Wednesday October 23rd. This appointment will consist of the student being told if he/she has been accepted to Shippensburg.
• Students must apply to Shippensburg at least 24 hours before their scheduled appointment with Shippensburg.

This week's "Pawsitive Pal" is Mrs. Allison Markey. Her unwavering patience and positive attitude shine through daily as she helps her students feel valued and supported. Mrs. Markey's dedication and compassionate approach make a profound difference in the lives of her students and her peers. Theodore is our Four Diamonds kid this year! Teddy or Theo is 20 months old and was diagnosed with chondromesenchymal. At this point surgery, chemo and radiation is out of the question. We are unsure of the next steps.
