Please take a moment to read the 2024-2025 Student Handbook so you and your student are aware of the policies and procedures at SCES.

Congratulations to our August Student and Staff of the Month. Thank you for being a role model for what it means to be an Indian!

Please bring your Driver's License in when you are bringing a child into school late or checking him/her out early. This step has been added as a safety measure!

• SCES will host parent conferences in all classrooms on September 5 from 3:30 until 5:30. Please contact your student's teacher to set up an appointment.
• Following parent confernces, SCES will host an Indian Information Night to provide very important resources that will help your student succeed this school year. Indian Information Night will be from 5:30 until 6:00 in the Auditorium.
• Following Indian Information Night, SCES and Seminole County Family Connections will host Family Game Night in the SCES Lunchroom from 6:30 until 7:30. The deadline for reserving your meal for this night has passed, but don't let that stop you from joining us for some fun and games.
• Technology Specialist from SCS and SCES will be on campus from 3:30 until 7:00 to help with your Infinite Campus questions and to enroll you in your parent portal. Please stop in with them and get help with your problems.

It's hard to believe we're at the midpoint of the first Quarter of school. Parents may pick up their student's progress reports at Parent Conference on September 5 or we will send them home with your students on Friday, September 6.

SCES is excited to host all of our parents and grandparents on Friday, September 6 for Heritage Day. Check out the schedule for the day below. Following Heritage Day, please visit Hardee's for SCES Share Day. A portion of your receipts will be donated back to SCES.

The Scholastic Fall Book Fair will be held September 16-20, 2024. The schedule for classroom visits is linked below. Parents are welcome to visit the Book Fair with their students during their scheduled visitation time. Just check in at the front office and don't forget to bring your Driver's License.

The Leader in Me is a curriculum used to teach staff, students, families and our community the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Please complete this survey in order to support the path of instruction for the students at SCES. Click the link to take the MRA Survey for Families.

Attendance is crucial for all students! Over the summer, our Attendance Team met with members of the Department of Juvenile Justice, DFCS, the Sheriff's Department, and the Superior Court to develop a policy that ensures students are in school and learning everyday! Please see information regarding future Out of County Enrollment. Current Out of County students must abide by the Out of County Contract to stay enrolled.
