JOW Presents...Enroll-A-Thon!
Join us this Thursday, April 4th at J.O. Wilson Elementary for the Enroll-a-Thon event! Mark your calendars and be ready to meet with our enrollment team from 6 AM to 6 PM. It's the perfect time to complete your enrollment for the upcoming school year.
New families, please bring proof of DC residency, your child's shot record, and proof of age. You can prove your child's age with documents such as a birth certificate, hospital records, baptismal certificate, passport, or previous school records.
Returning families, don't forget to bring your proof of residency and your child's shot record. For residency verification, acceptable documents include a recent pay stub, official documentation of financial assistance from DC Government, a certified D-40 form, military housing orders, an embassy letter, DC Driver's License or ID, vehicle registration, lease agreement, or a utility bill.

TOMORROW: Family Game Night & Fine Art Show - Wed. April 3, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Join Cardinal families and staff for two exciting events on April 3 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.: Family Game Night in partnership with Labyrinth and our Annual Fine Art Show. Game night will be in the cafeteria and the Art Show will be in the commons.
JOW Cherry Blossom Market & Yard Sale - THIS Sat April 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
J.O. Wilson families, staff, and creatives are invited to sell their second-hand treasures and original creative works at the first annual J.O. Wilson Market and Yard Sale. There are still some tables available, so if you want to sell items at the sale, please register here.
This FREE event will feature games, music, a bounce house, food trucks, cotton candy and more fun for the whole family, so mark your calendars and get ready to clean out your closets.

The Events and Fundraising Committee will be meeting regularly over the next month to plan two big events on the spring calendar. All are welcome to join us and learn how you can help with the Cherry Blossom Market and Yard Sale (April 6) and the May 3rd Cardinal Auction Night (Friday May 3rd).

The District E-Bike Incentive Program
The District E-Bike Incentive Program within the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) helps residents buy electric bicycles (e-bikes) and supports bicycle businesses in the District.
The application window will be open from April 1 – April 15, 2024. Applications may be submitted at any time during this window. DDOT will select voucher recipients from the entire pool of applicants, regardless of when, between April 1-15, the application was submitted.

This no-cost event takes place at the Kellogg Conference at Gallaudet University, 800 Florida Avenue, NE, Washington, D.C., and is also accessible online. Day of Play at RFK - Tuesday, April 16, from Noon to 4 p.m.
Join Events DC at Day of Play at RFK for a free, community-oriented afternoon of games, food and music for families and guests of all ages at The Fields at RFK Campus.. The event coincides with DCPS spring break and offers children and adults the opportunity to participate in organized activities and sports and enjoy complimentary food, beverages and live entertainment! While the event is free, registration is required. All youth must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.

Save the Date for Cardinal Auction Night - Friday, May 3!
Who: Cardinal families, friends, and supporters
What: Auction Night Party and PTA Fundraiser
Where: Skyline 609 on H Street
When: Friday, May 3, from 6 to 10 p.m.
Why: To enjoy an evening without kids while bidding on amazing auction items and experiences to raise money for J.O.’s students, teachers, and staff!
This event is one of the PTA’s biggest fundraisers of the year and we rely heavily on volunteers to make the evening a success. To learn how you can get involved with planning, please email info@jowilsonpta.org or attend a planning meeting each Tuesday through April 30 (except for 4/16) from 8 to 9 pm.
While we rely heavily on sponsorships and donations from local businesses, we also seek contributions from within our school community. We welcome items big and small – ideas include tickets to sporting events or concerts, bookings for vacation properties, gift cards, artwork or photographs, or themed baskets of items. Please reach out if you have questions or ideas you’d like to propose! The PTA is happy to provide receipts for any in-kind contributions.
