On Tuesday, December 17, the annual Holiday Happening Giveaway was held at the Flagler County Youth Center, proudly sponsored by the FCYC Student Advisory Club. Upon entering the Youth Center, students were given a raffle ticket, and one by one, tickets were drawn to announce the winners. With over 40 prizes, including candy and gift cards, nearly everyone had the opportunity to win something. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and are delighted to have spread holiday cheer this season!

On December 19th, the Youth Center hosted its inaugural Christmas-themed bingo, and it was a festive success! Approximately 20 participants joined in for this exciting first-time event. The atmosphere was filled with holiday cheer as attendees enjoyed the game and the surprises it brought. Gift bags, filled with candy and stocking stuffers, added an extra layer of excitement—two of which included hidden gift cards! Participants who won a round got to choose a bag, and by the end of the afternoon, three lucky students walked away with Wawa gift cards.

You might think it’s too early to start planning for summer, but it’s not! We’re already gearing up for our 2025 Summer Camp. Pre-registration for returning campers will begin in February, followed by open registration in March. Keep an eye out for more details coming soon!

Currently the G.W. Carver Center is open daily Monday - Friday with special events on Saturday. The School Year Open Gym Hours are 2:00pm - 6:00pm.

Senior Social Hour will resume on Tuesday, January 7th and will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm every Tuesday and Thursday.

After School Tutoring will resume on January 13th. Tutoring is being held Monday - Thursday from 4:00pm - 5:00pm for grades K-12.

Yolanda Williams Outreach hosted by Flagler Cares will resume on January 15th and will be held the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.

Each year, we host a special event for children and parents called Carver Christmas. This festive celebration features a variety of activities, including a lively puppet show, fun games, delicious food, and generous gifts provided by our friends at PAL. The event is capped off with plenty of goodies for the children to take home, making it a truly memorable occasion for all!

Toya Leaks was honored as the winner of the "Light Up with Carver" Light Awards.
