MSD of Martinsville's Attendance Policy states after 6 days of absences, regardless of reason, any future absence must have medical or legal documentation or the absence will be unexcused.
After the 10th day of unexcused absences, the school is legally responsible to file a DCS attendance educational neglect form.
Please contact the office by 9:00 to report an absence.
The MSD of Martinsville will operate on an eLearning Day on April 8, 2024, and a Real Time Learning day on April 9, 2024, due to the solar eclipse. If you would like to receive information from the Morgan County Emergency Management Agency, text morgancoineclipse2024 to 69310.

Announcement from Food Service!
Our school will be celebrating National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) from March 4-8, 2024.
Busy weekday mornings make it a challenge for many families to find time for a healthy breakfast. Fortunately, MSD of Martinsville schools offer nutritious school breakfasts, to ensure students are fueled for learning every school day. Additionally, all student breakfasts are provided at No Cost to all students making it a win-win for families.
During NSBW students will enjoy new breakfast offerings, special giveaways, and a special treat on Friday. Be sure to ask your child about this special event taking place the week of March 4th.
Time is Running Out to Order a Yearbook!
We are working with a new company this year, so the price is only $11 per book!
The GTES Yearbook is on sale from now until March 29. Orders can be placed online using this link: https://link.entourageyearbooks.com/my/GTES2024.
If you are unable to order online, please contact the office for an order form.
Family Food Pantry
Our Family School Pantry will be Thursday, March 14 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. as a drive-through at the back of John R. Wooden Middle School. MSD of Martinsville's 2023-24 school year pantry dates are on Thursdays: 4/11 & 5/9.
Notes from the Office
Only adults listed on a student's emergency contacts will be able to check out a student from school. In addition, anyone picking up a child, will need identification to be able to check a student out of school.
If you need to change your child's dismissal, this must be done by 3:00. Doing so will avoid confusion as to how your child will get home.
