MES Hawk News 12/13/2024

We have a full week of school this week. This is our last week of school prior to Winter Break. We will not have school December 23-January 1st. We will return to school in the new year on January 2nd.

Please mark your calendars, on Thursday, January 16 at 7:15pm, students in grades 1-4 will be performing The National Anthem in the High School Gym. This will be prior to the Girls Basketball game. This night is also Cancer Awareness Night.

Monday - Ugly Sweater Day

Tuesday - Christmas Pajamas

Wednesday - Winter Wonderland (Blue silver white)

Thursday - Grinch Day

Friday - Wear Green & Red and/or Santa & Elf Hats

Please make sure kids are sent to school with appropriate winter clothing every day, including coats, snow pants, boots, gloves and hats.

Students are expected to play outside for recess until the wind chill feels like -10 degrees.

We are using the National Weather Service to guide our decision to go outside or stay inside. If you doubt that we will be outside for recess, please still send all necessary outdoor clothing with your child.

Each week, we start out the week with Mission Monday. This mission becomes a focus for the week. You can help at home by discussing this mission with your child.

Ramsey Shout Out to Ms. Sara O. Thank you for all your help while I subbed in Kindergarten. You went above and beyond to make sure the day ran smoothly. All of your help make me LOVE my time in Kindergarten! Thanks for being amazing support!

I was raised in Portland, Oregon and moved to Montevideo April of 2023. I love working with children and am currently a full time sub at Ramsey and Sanford! In my free time I really enjoy reading, playing video games or hanging out with my friends and family. I am super extroverted and love when people stop to say hello!
