Dear Parents and Carers
Year 6 Leadership Project
Last night, Mrs. Sadlo and I attended the City of Wanneroo Year 6 Leadership Community Project event, along with some of our students who were selected for this wonderful learning opportunity. Out of more than 30 schools that applied, only 11 were chosen to participate, and we are proud that our school was among them.
Congratulations to our students and Mrs. Sadlo for their dedication and exceptional work on this project. Our students’ goal was to create a community area where parents can gather, connect and chat while waiting to pick up their children. This designated area, located between the Year 1 and Year 2 blocks, will feature benches and serve as an inviting outdoor learning space as well. Special thanks to Mrs. Sadlo for her guidance and passion for fostering enrichment opportunities. Without her leadership, our school’s participation in this project would not have been possible.
Are you leaving our school?
If your family will not be returning to our school next year, please inform the front office as soon as possible. We are currently organising student and staff placements for 2025, and early notification helps ensure a balanced distribution of students across classes.
Swimming
Our swimming program continues into its second week next week. By now, students have adapted well to the routine and are managing their belongings with care as they learn essential swimming and self-organisation skills.
Vinnies Christmas Appeal Baskets
We will be placing a basket in each classroom to collect food to donate to the Vinnies Christmas appeal. Please bring non-perishable food items in Weeks 7 and 8 for those less fortunate than ourselves.
Advent
The second candle lit in the season of Advent is also a purple candle called the Bethlehem Candle, which symbolises peace and preparation, reflecting Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem and the peace that Christ's birth brings.
As a school community, let’s keep preparing our hearts and minds in readiness for the season of Advent.
God bless you.
